Expanding outdoor dining through flexible design

This hospitality project for Lulu Mediterranean Grill in Edgewater was designed around the Magna retractable pergola system, transforming a large portion of the restaurant’s outdoor area into a refined and highly functional all-season dining environment.

The concept was developed as a complete outdoor expansion solution — combining the Magna retractable roof with integrated glass sliding door systems to create a space that could remain open and connected during good weather while offering protection and enclosure when needed.

By maximizing the outdoor seating capacity, the project provided a major operational advantage for the restaurant, allowing significantly more guests to be accommodated throughout different seasons and weather conditions. The flexible layout also created a more comfortable environment for dining, social gatherings, and hookah service without compromising openness or atmosphere.

Integrated shading, clean aluminum structures, and wide-span coverage helped maintain a modern architectural appearance while preserving the relaxed outdoor character of the space. The result is a versatile hospitality environment that blends comfort, flexibility, and business functionality — designed to support a more elevated restaurant experience year-round.
